TANEKA BLACKNELL

Senior Program Manager

Taneka H. Blacknell, Esquire spent 23+ years in federal government service, ultimately retiring from the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Supervisory Special Agent after more than 21 years of service. During her federal government career, she served in a variety of locations, including: Brooklyn (New York), Delaware, Louisiana, Washington, D.C., and finally in Memphis, Tennessee. While in government service, Taneka utilized her talents in multitude of professional capacities including: Staff Attorney, Training Agent, Chief Division Counsel – Legal Advisor, Mediator, Assistant Legal Attache – Phnom Pehn, Cambodia, Online Covert Employee, Task Force Coordinator, Special Agent Assessor, Adjunct Faculty at a variety of police academies, Assistant Inspector, Attorney Adjudicator, and Supervisory Special Agent. She successfully investigated and facilitated prosecutions in threats involving crimes against children, white collar fraud, civil rights, violent crime, public corruption, and human trafficking. During her federal government career, Taneka earned multiple achievement incentive cash, time off, and external partner recognition awards.

Taneka is currently a Senior Program Manager with Altus Solutions, Incorporated – Engage Together. In that capacity, she is actively working to build solutions and catalyze collaborations in communities across sectors to end and prevent human trafficking by: participating in client engagement; supporting clients in the development and enhancement of initiatives aimed at strengthening community responses to human trafficking; collaborating with Altus team members to continuously improve and implement innovative solutions and services that address community needs; and provide strategic insights and recommendations to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Taneka graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University, where she was selected for the Mortar Board and received the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award. Additionally, Taneka earned a Juris Doctor from Indiana University – Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she was an ICLEO and tax law scholarship recipient. Taneka is a Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a member of the National Council of Negro Women, and is married with two bonus daughters.
